Anbagam Special Educational Trust was started in the year 2000 with the aim of providing vocational training to the rural children, who are mentally retarded. At present, the ASET is operating in K.K.Nagar I Chennai- 78. The school in future plans to start a rehabilitation centre with the accommodation. Here the children will get special education, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and speech therapy as pre vocational therapies. Hence, the learning programme is basically designed to improve the quality of these special children’s life.

Aim Of Rehabilitation Programmes

• To have early intervention of learning disabled children


• To make mentally retarded children expert and maintain adaptive living skills by engaging the appropriate experts in the field


• To train them in how to interact socially


• To teach reading, writing, counting numbers, read time and count money


• To teach vocational activities


• To prepare assessment and tool adaptive behavioral check list for developmentally disabled


• To make children happy by providing for them radio, television, computer services etc.


• To supply musical instruments such as piano, mouth argon, etc
