Visa applicants apply student visa for four-year undergraduate programs or graduate programs leading a master's or doctoral degree. They must seek an appointment and interviewed. To qualify for a student visa, applicants must prove the following:

• Intend to return to India following the completion of their studies


• Have consistent record of academic achievement and will be able to complete full course in United States


• Proficient in English language to undertake the intended course of study


• Have sufficient funds to cover the first year tuition and living expenses, and continuing source of funds to cover subsequent years.

• Male applicants between age 16-45 must fill out and submit a DS-157
